Things To Do In Memphis: 2nd Annual Chicken and Beer Festival

Saturday, August 3rd from 6PM-10PM on the field of the Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium for the 2nd Annual Memphis Chicken & Beer Festival.

General Admission tickets are 40+tax and include admission into the event, a souvenir glass, over 90 different beverage samples, and benefits the Dorothy Day House. VIP tickets are $70+tax and includes everything with General Admission plus a VIP lanyard, access to the VIP lounge located in the newly renovated University of Memphis home team locker rooms, along with heavy appetizers and restrooms.

There will be live entertainment from local musicians such as Kevin&Bethany Paige and The Marcus Malone Band. In addition there will be a variety of different yard games including giant jenga, inflatables, human fooseball, and giant beer pong.

Local restaurants will have food on site available to purchase. Must be 21+ to attend!

Things To Do In Memphis: Lucky's Social Club

Dog parks— a magical wonderland where fur babies can frolic and sniff butts while their humans take a step back and let them enjoy their limelight. But who says the pups are the only ones allowed to party? Lucky’s Social Club opens May 1 as the first local dog park bar and it’s pretty much an outdoor pub with pups.

Co-owned by Chelsea Glass, Brian Ellsworth, and Mac Hopper, Lucky’s will be a membership-based dog park bar, located at 730 S. Main, that is a fun and safe environment for your best bud and whoev-fur comes along! 

Membership options include:

  • $10 day pass

  • $25 monthly membership

  • $275 annual membership

  • A limited time exclusive lifetime membership opportunity is also available.

*All pups are welcome, but owners will be required to show proof of updated vaccines, proof of being spayed/neutered, and a signed admission of a non-aggression*

The park will include amenities such as tetherball, obstacle courses, water features, and an outdoor dog wash station, and the bar will be serving up gourmet hot dogs and an assortment of beer.

Public bar hours:

  • Tuesday-Thursday (4PM-10PM)

  • Friday (4PM-12AM)

  • Saturday (Noon-12AM)

  • Sunday (Noon-10PM)

The Meddlesome Meandering 0.5K is a charity "race" that benefits the Alzheimer's Association to help #ENDALZ . 100% of the $25 admission fee goes to the charity.

Entry fee includes hydration station on course, 3 food sample stations, 2 post “race” beers, event mug and enjoy the born on party at the finish line.

There will be a prize for the best costumed "runner"!

Check in will be in our taproom on 6-30-18 at 12pm where wrist bands and beer tickets will be handed out.

A celebration of beer - Memphis Style!

The 8th Annual Memphis Brewfest will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017 in downtown Memphis, Tennessee. We'll be celebrating great American craft beer, and the finest, most exotic beers in the world. Beers, Breweries and Beer enthusiasts from the region will gather near the bluffs of the Mississippi River on a Spring afternoon for a sampling of fresh beers of all colors, styles and tastes.

ALL net proceeds of the Memphis Brewfest benefit Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy.

What: A world beer tasting festival.

April 22, 2017, 4:00 – 7:30 P.M.

Where: The courtyard of AutoZone Park (200 Union Avenue) (the corner of Third St. and Union Ave.), Memphis, Tennessee

Admission: Tickets are now on sale. Advance tickets: $45. After noon April 15, tickets: $48. Beer tasting is included in ticket price. VIP tickets: $100 (VIP ticket privileges include express entry, a goody bag, Memphis Redbirds Club level access for rare beers and a hors d'oeuvres buffet.) A maximum of 2,000 tickets will be sold. We expect this event to sell out. Please purchase your tickets early. Festival goers will receive a sampling glass and a program including a map of where beers can be found.

Age: You must be 21 years of age to enter and sample beers. A government issued ID will be required for entry. No refunds will be issued to underage purchasers of tickets. Babies and toddlers are not allowed.

Pets and Children: Pets and/or children are not allowed.

Rain: This fest is rain or shine. In the event of rain, the fest will be moved into the concourse area of the stadium.

Safety: This is a beer tasting and appreciation event. We encourage you to drink in moderation, monitor your intake, drink plenty of water or other non-alcoholic beverage, eat frequently, and, if necessary, take a taxi to your post-fest destination. Taxis may be hired in front of the stadium or across the street at the Peabody hotel taxi stand. Or, why not make a night of it in downtown Memphis. We have negotiated favorable rates at some of the finest hotels.

Food: Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at the fest.
