The Children's Museum of Memphis creates memorable learning experiences through the joy of play in hands-on exhibits and programs. Fun and educational learning experiences designed to help discover science, math, health, and art.

Parents and kids both will discover a fun new world at the Children’s Museum of Memphis. Of course, parents don’t have to play and learn along with the kids, but you will probably want to. Kids rejoice! At this museum, you are supposed to touch everything! Hands-on, interactive exhibits and activities are the focus here. Exhibit topics range from waterworks to health, recycling to house construction, money to transportation. The special theater area has costumes and puppets for performing plays, as well as painting, sculpting, and weaving. Transportation exhibits have a motion simulator, hot air balloon, even a mini-van that kids can "drive" and "repair." A splash / play area adds an extra dash of fun, weather permitting. One of the most popular exhibits is the Skyscraper -- a multi-level, vertical maze for kids. Tots have their very own Playscape -- with a toddler-size treehouse, and a host of other stuff for little ones to explore. Through the special exhibits, performances, and programs everyone learns something.

The museum also hosts many events and programs including book clubs, special camps, golf tournaments, and trivia. Click here for the full schedule. Planning a birthday party, company meeting, wedding, holiday party… the museum offers facility rentals for just about any occasion. A small café, brown bag area, and a gift shop are also on the premises.

Children play to learn! Adults learn to play again! The place where play IS learning!
