On March 4th Indie Memphis and the Commercial Appeal will present the Red Carpet Party, an Academy Awards watch party at Rec Room. Make your predictions and see if you can beat the CA’s John Beifuss and your fellow party-goers to win prizes and raise funds for Indie Memphis!

101 Things To Do In Memphis: #87: The Indie Memphis Film Festival

One of the city's core arts institutions, Indie Memphis connects and inspires indie filmmakers and film-lovers through the unique creative landscape that is the home of the Blues and the birthplace of Rock 'n' Roll.

Nationally ranked as one of the "25 Coolest Film Festivals" by MovieMaker magazine, the festival is entering its 18th year, starting today, November 3rd running until November 10th. Transforming the city into a connecting point for filmmakers, musicians, artists, and audiences. The festival brings a broad range of independent features, documentaries and short films to Memphis from all corners of the country.

Indie Memphis, a non-profit organization, is a two-time Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences grant recipient, receives project support from the Tennessee Arts Commission, and is the only film organization to receive annual funding from ArtsMemphis. This year-round organization inspires, encourages and promotes independent films and filmmaking in Memphis. More than 50 screenings and special events filled the calendar in the months leading up to the 2015 festival.

Weekday screenings during the 18th annual festival will take place at the new 361-seat Halloran Centre. Weekend screenings will be in Overton Square at the 220-seat Circuit Playhouse and in multiple auditoriums of the Malco Studio on the Square.

This year's festival features an improved ticketing system that lets you reserve seats for the films of your choice by using your pass or purchasing individual tickets.

- Single Ticket Purchases: $10/ticket General Admission or $15/ticket for special Gala Events
Festival Pass: $100 ($80 for Indie Memphis members)
VIP Pass: $250 ($200 for Indie Memphis members)
