Doll Tea Party
Saturday November 15 at 2pm
Germantown Community Library
Age: 5 to 12 years.  Dolls and their accompanying youngsters are cordially invited to an afternoon tea party at the Germantown Library. Guests will enjoy a delightful afternoon of stories, games and refreshments. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required and begins on Saturday, November 8

Campfire Party
Friday November 21 from 6-8pm
Memphis Botanic Garden
Join us for a cozy campfire and evening activities for the kids.  Go on a nocturnal adventure and enjoy making your own s’mores in My Big Backyard.  Hot dogs, s’mores, and cider will be provided. After several years away, the boy who won’t grow up is flying back to Memphis stage! Wendy, John and Michael Darling’s world is turned upside down when Peter Pan swoops into their nursery. He leads them to Neverland where they encounter the cunning and evil Captain Hook, villainous pirates, a crafty crocodile and the sprightly fairy Tinker Bell. Featuring classic songs such as “I Gotta Crow”, “Neverland”, and “I’m Flying”. Peter Pan promises to touch, inspire, dazzle and charm all generations.

A Christmas Story, The Musical

A Christmas Story is a bright, buoyant Broadway retelling of the 1983 holiday perennial, a cherished and much-repeated family film during the Christmas season. All of the movie’s best-loved moments are in the production, including the Old Man’s leg-shaped lamp, the tongue-on-a-flagpole scene, the bunny suit, the Santa slide and all of Ralphie’s extravagant daydreams. The show is a big Broadway musical, complete with dazzling dance numbers, gorgeous sets and an incredibly talented cast of youngsters who play Ralphie and his classmates.

A Christmas Carol

Miserly Ebenezer Scrooge is approached by the ghostly vision of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, who warns him of an upcoming spiritual journey.  An eye-opening exploration leads to happiness and enlightenment, not to mention song, dance and holiday cheer.

Holiday Swing

Twelfth Night

William Shakespeare’s charming 1601 comedy is a topsy-turvy world of cross-dressing lovers, yellow cross-garters, and crossed identities.  Inspired by the final days of Christmas, the winter solstice, and the Festival of Light, TSC celebrates the joy of the season with this uproarious music hall production. Between beautiful songs, high comedy, and delicate poetry, love redeems all.  Free Will Kids’ Nights are December 11 and 18: Children 17 years and younger will be admitted FREE when accompanied by a paying, attending guardian.  Limit: four children per guardian.  The Preview performance is December 11 at 7:00 pm.  Seating is general admission.

A Lifetime of Christmas: A Music Cabaret

We will begin by looking at the holidays through the eyes of a child and follow them through the years as we rekindle some of your own favorite holiday memories. Ballet Memphis Nutcracker

Santa and his friends from the North Pole are visiting Stage Door Productions this Christmas. Join us at the Kroc Center of Memphis for Christmas crafts, treats, and so much more. Take your time exploring Santa’s Village where Santa’s elves will help you create your own take home treat for Rudolf and his reindeer friends, or spend some time caroling with one of Santa’s closest friends Elsa from Frozen while sipping on hot chocolate, then last but not least you can tell Santa your very own Christmas list after your turn on the Naughty or Nice Meter!

Join us for our Gingerbread House Workshop on Sunday, December 14 at 3 pm. Families or friends will work together to decorate a gingerbread house using candy, icing, and other festive treats. Maximum number of four workshop attendees per house. Come early, or stick around afterwards for our Holiday Pajama Party, which runs from 11 am to 5:30 pm. Madonna Learning Center (MDL) will present their Annual Christmas Play at GPAC. This student performance is a very moving event for both the audience and the MDL students. The event is Free.

Following a tradition begun by Charles Dickens himself, award-winning British-born actor Jeremy Webb’s one-man, warm and funny version of this Christmas classic captures the very essence of the holiday spirit! Webb plays – and owns – all 30 roles, changing characters in the blink of an eye, from the Ghost of Christmas Past to Tiny Tim to the miserly and ultimately transformed Ebenezer Scrooge. Often hilarious and sometimes spooky, the fully staged production from Halifax, Nova Scotia also incorporates larger than life puppets portraying the ghosts in a traditional re-telling of the mysterious heartwarming tale about redemption and charity.
