Black Love Bail Out
Memphis Official Black Lives Matter Chapter will participate in the 2nd annual National Bail Out Collective, raising funds to cover the costs of bail for mothers who have not been convicted of a crime. Read more and donate here.

Mother’s Day Plant Sale
The Memphis Botanic Garden hosts their annual plant sale on Thursday 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Mother’s Day Craft Playgroup
A quick, kid-friendly craft at 10:20 a.m. on May 11 in the Tower Courtyard at Overton Square after that morning’s 9:15 a.m. stroller ride.

Mother’s Day Dance Classes 
Blue Suede Ballroom Dance Studio will host special Mother’s Day lessons on Friday, May 11 (waltz) and Tuesday May 15 (swing). It’s free to the ladies and $12 for men, and no partner is necessary. Be sure to call or email to reserve your spot. Details.

Memphis Bluff City Nationals Pro-Pulling League
Head to Memphis International Raceway for this weekend’s show of super crazy vehicles pulling other vehicles. Like a tractor pull on steroids, and totally family-friendly, this event features – and I quote “four-engine, 5000+ horsepower tractors, to flame throwing jet turbine powered semi-trucks”. Sign me up for the flame throwing! The event is on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. both nights. 

Memphis Greek Festival
Take mom to the annual Memphis Greek Fest at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church on Highland on Friday or Saturday (open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. both days). The’yll have live music, entertainment, and the star of the show – Greek food and pastries. They also have a drive-through if you’re just getting grub to go.

Mother’s Day Out at Concourse
From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on May 12th, enjoy a building-wide celebration of mom with vendors and artisans, live music, a magic show, and more.

Pink Wig Music Festival
Take mom to The Edge District on Saturday to enjoy local music from the likes of Lucky 7 Brass Band, Marcella & Her Lovers, Cassette Set and Island 45, plus food and High Cotton beer for sale. Ticket proceeds benefit the Pink Wig Project, which provides pink wigs to cancer patients and their supporters and raises awareness.

Mother’s Day Pop-Up At The Art Factory
From noon to 5 p.m. on May 12, shop pottery, sculpture, paintings, and more art from local artists at the Art Factory in Cooper Young.

Mom’s Day Pop-Up at Everbloom Designs
Pick up flowers for your mom at Broad Avenue’s new floral design studio. They’ll be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 12.

Mother’s Tea at Elmwood
Take mom to the city’s picturesque historic cemetery the Saturday before Mother’s Day for tea and treats and a short tour. Tickets are $35 and you’ll need to make reservations.

Woodruff-Fontaine Speakeasy Parlor
Dress in your best 1920s-inspired attire for this speakeasy event that requires a password for entry. Tickets include two drinks, hors d’oeuvres, live music, and access to the Woodruff-Fontaine Museum, Carriage House, and Root Cellar. The event is on Saturday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Pour & Explore at Saddle Creek 
If mom is a dog lover, this Pour & Explore event is just for her. Enjoy wine samples at 15 shops, live music, live art, and Streetdog Foundation pups (that will be up for adoption!) The event is Saturday from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

The Music of Grant Green at Crosstown Arts
Local jazz artists perform tributes to Grant Green as part of the Crosstown Jazz Series, which takes place in the Concourse.

Mother’s Day With The Redbirds
Take the whole family to the ballpark on Sunday the 13th for a brunch and playtime on the field at noon and a first pitch at 2:05 p.m. Tickets are $35 for dugout and $39 for club level, which includes brunch, seats, and a pizza coupon for Papa John’s. You can bring dogs, too, but they can’t go out on the field.

Wolf River Conservancy Mother’s Day Paddle
If you’ve never paddled the Wolf River, I promise you (and your mom) will be amazed and impressed by the natural beauty we have right here in our own backyard! The Conservancy will host a free 3.5 mile paddle on May 13. You must register before Thursday, May 10 at 3 p.m. to attend. Details.

Ragtime Tea Party at Pontotoc Lounge
Take a music-loving mom to South Main on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., where DJ Mark Richens plays an eclectic mix of classic jazz, ragtime, swing, and more. Pontotoc serves artisan cocktails and Southern-inspired menu.

Symphony in the Gardens
Bring your picnics, blankets, and chairs to the Dixon’s South Lawn for a big band tunes with the Memphis Symphony. Mempops and Memdawgs will be on site. They have VIP options, too.

The Memphis Botanic Garden will serve a brunch buffet in the Japanese Garden on Sunday, Mother’s Day.

Bleu Restaurant (in the Westin downtown) will serve a Mother’s Day Sunday brunch, free validated parking.

Coletta’s on Appling Road will host a Mother’s Day Luncheon.

Delta’s Kitchen (in the Guest House at Graceland) will serve an a la carte menu with breakfast and late-brunch offerings.

Amerigo Italian in East Memphis will serve their brunch, lunch, and dinner menus plus chef specials on Mother’s Day – they’re doing walk-ins only.

Patrick’s will have a classic brunch buffet with carving station, omelet station, seafood, and breakfast stuff.

Terrace at the River Inn will have a prix frixe Mother’s Day menu.

Celtic Crossing will have a special Moy Benedict in addition to their brunch menu; moms get roses.

Babalu will serve Sunday brunch for Mother’s Day with specials and tableside mimosas.
